The most efficient way to place an order is to use our Yahoo Store shopping cart feature. As you browse items around our site, place items you want to purchase in
your shopping cart. (HINT: Go ahead and put in items you are just thinking about. It's easier to discard them before you check-out than to try to find them again.) Once you have completed shopping, simply select "check-out" and you will be asked for information necessary in fulfilling your order. We reserve the right to limit quantities ordered.

When providing your Amercian Express, VISA, MasterCard, or Discover credit card information, we allow the shipping and billing addresses to be different. We reserve the right to contact the cardholder directly and confirm that the purchase is authorized. This authorization may be made by the cardholder's bank or credit card processor, our credit card processor, or by a customer service representative. In the event we cannot definitively receive authorization, we may hold the order to ensure the card has not been fraudulently used.
We have revamped and simplified the Loyalty Credit System. Loyalty Credits are available to all our on-line customers.

how loyalty credits work:
All Whirlwind purchases you make online will be automatically tabulated by your email address. If you use multiple email addresses, you will receive your credits on the address you used with each order. You will no longer need a separate client code to identify your purchases. On the last business day of March, June, September, and December, the loyalty system will calculate 5% of all purchases (not including shipping or taxes) made since the previous update and will issue a voucher to your email address(es) or snail mail the info to you.
how the vouchers work:
Whenever you receive a voucher, you may apply it against any purchase, provided that the Total Sale is at least $8.95 greater than the Voucher value. Just enter the unique Voucher Code when you checkout. The website will automatically discount your purchase total by the Voucher value. The Voucher is valid for 30 days from the date of issue, after which time it will expire, and can no longer be used. Vouchers can be combined and transfered from one account to another.
We do our best to keep every item on the website in stock and ready to ship. Items we know are out of stock are indicated on the website. Since some of our products are imported into the US, we experience shipping delays from time to time that may not be noted on the website. In these circumstances, you will be emailed with our best estimate of when the item will be available to ship. Please note that delivery days are business days and exclude weekends and holidays.

methods: We use discreet, standard packaging materials with "Whirlwind Distributing" as our return address. Our same day order deadline is 3PM. Please note when selecting Express shipping methods that the transit time to most locations is guaranteed, but we may not always be able to ship your selection the same day you place your order. If you require your order in hand by a certain date, please email or call us to ensure the delivery date.

APO and FPO addresses receive domestic postage rates, but are not trackable and are treated like international shipments (see International Shipments below for details) including the required US Customs declarations.
rates: We have simple, flat rate shipping methods regardless of the size of your order, with a few exceptions. (see below) Over-sized and heavy items like those found on our "Furniture and Slings" section may not qualify for the flat rate shipping. For shipments of only J-Lube, 12 bottles or fewer qualify for flat rate shipping. For these exceptions, we charge the actual shipping cost. We may ship over-sized and heavy items via UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, or the most reasonable carrier to your location. Only $8.95 for US addresses (except HI & AK) shipped Ground including USPS First Class and Priority Mail, and FedEx Ground. HI & AK shipped Ground including USPS First Class and Priority Mail for only $10.95. Second Day delivery starts at $15.95 for US addresses with no "handling" or other hidden charges. If your Second Day shipping cost is greater than $30.95, we will email you with that total before shipping.Express Mail via USPS starts at $25.95 for US addresses with no "handling" or other hidden charges. If your shipping cost is greater than $50.95, we will email you with that total before shipping. Please note that some US zip codes do not receive next-day delivery guarantees via Express Mail.
online order tracking: We will automatically confirm to the email address you provide that your order has been received. Once it is processed, you will receive an order status email containing a URL that will show current status for your order. If you do not receive an order status email or you have not received your shipment within a week, please contact us immediately. Our USPS and FedEx deliveries DO NOT require signatures and are NOT specially insured. If you would like your shipment insured or sent with signature services, please request that in the comments field of your order form. Our responsibility is limited to providing proof that your order was shipped as requested. We cannot be held responsible for misdirected, damaged or shipments lost by carriers, so please consider adding insurance to your shipment.
re-shipments: On rare occasions, shipments are returned to us after delivery attempts were made to the address provided. We are happy to reship, but will charge the actual cost of shipping the package an additional time. In circumstances where we cannot reship, we will refund the order total minus the actual cost of shipping, minus 10% of the pre-shipping total as a restocking fee.
backorders: In most circumstances, we do not charge for items until they actually ship. Exceptions include special orders and custom items. Once backorders are available to ship, there are three possibilities. 1) If the item was out-of-stock when you placed your order, and you selected our Flat Rate shipping option, we will ship it to you with no additional postage charge. 2) If the backorder is a special order or custom item, we will ship the backorder for $8.95. 3) If you initially selected an expedited shipping method (Express Mail or 2nd Day Delivery), we will ship the backorder via a non-expedited method for $8.95 unless you instruct us to also expedite the backorder. We do this because time is normally no longer of the essence with backorders.

methods and rates: Our international customers love our shipping options because we only charge the actual cost of shipping plus a small Customs handling fee of $3 per order. Since rates and delivery standards vary greatly from one country to the next, our goal is for "Standard International" deliveries to arrive in about one week for the lowest price possible. Depending on what you order, this can usually be accomplished with International Priority Mail. Our system will not automatically add postage charges to your order. Feel free to email us to get an exact shipping quote in advance of placing your order. Obviously, once an order is shipped, no adjustment (including cancellation) may be made.
MINIMUM shipping charges are:
$15.95 for Priority Mail International
$30.95 for Express Mail International
Obviously, if you order a small item your actual shipping charge will be reduced (minimum charge $15.95), and if you order large or heavy items, your actual shipping cost will increase. We will add the final price of shipping before charging you. If the shipping amount is greater than $100.00, we will email you with that total before shipping.
Our "Standard International" shipping using International Priority Mail. "Express International" is usually slightly more expensive and may arrive to the international destination's customs office a few days faster than Priority. We will always email you the exact shipping charge for Express when you select the "Express" option. If you would like both rates, select the option "Compare Rates" and your choices will be emailed to you, and your order placed on hold until we hear back with your selection.
Transport is at your own risk. By placing your international order, you agree to waive any chargeback rights you may have with your credit card processor in the unlikely event your shipment does not arrive or arrives damaged. Our burden is limited only to providing proof that your package was actually shipped. All articles are shipped in secure and discreet packaging.
Insurance up to $100 is included with Express Mail. Insurance is available for Priority Mail, and we may require you to purchase it for delivery to select countries. At this time, insurance for up to $100 on Priority Mail is $2.65 for most countries.
It is possible that some items on our website may not be imported or be possessed by you in your country. It is not possible for us to check or know the laws and regulations in all countries around the world. It is your responsibility to be informed about the laws and regulations in your county.
We do not accept any liability for any damage caused by the use, ordering or delivery of our products to you or by you. This also means we cannot be held responsible in any way for postal or custom regulations causing your shipment not to arrive. Import duties and taxes may be imposed by your government on shipments from outside your country. These charges are separate from any payments made to Whirlwind and are beyond our control or ability to predict. You are responsible for paying any fees charged by your government. Please check with your local post office or customs office for more information.
If for any reason the package is seized by Customs Officials, we will not issue a refund unless all products are returned to us in their original condition. If the package is returned to us by Customs Officials, the customer is still responsible for any shipping charges. A 10% restocking fee will be applied to orders returned by customs as "unclaimed" or as "illegal to import." Customers are responsible for all return shipping charges on exchanges/returns and warrantied items as well as the return shipping back to you.
We require a $50 minimum merchandise total (US funds) on all international orders. We reserve the right to verify Credit Card account numbers on all International orders prior to shipping. The "BILL TO" and "SHIP TO" addresses must be the same, and must also be the same as the registered "BILL TO" on file with the credit card company.
We are required by law to include a commercial invoice with all international shipments, and we cannot reduce the dollar value of your items, or designate your package as a "sample" or a "gift."
We hold high regard for every item we carry. We test all battery-operated devices and inflatable items before they are shipped. Due to the nature of our products, it is our policy to accept returns exclusively for defective items and for unused items in their original packaging. We do this for the protection of all our customers and so we can feel comfortable guaranteeing the safety and cleanliness of every item we sell.
The following is our Return Policy:
1. All toys & novelty sales are final unless defective.
2. If the item is found to be defective, the item will be exchanged for the same item you purchased. Items returned as "defective" must be defective in that they will not initially perform in the manner they were designed to.
3. Item must not have been subject to unusual treatment or abuse.
4. To qualify for an exchange in this category, you must notify us at firstname.lastname@example.org within 15 days of the date that it was delivered to you (delivery date is based upon the date provided by our postal vendor's tracking system). We may send the replacement item to you with a postage-paid return label for the defective item. Or, you may be asked to return the defective item within 15 days after the date you contact us regarding the defect.
5. Unused items in their original packaging may be returned for store credit only. (No cash or credit card refunds.) To qualify for an exchange in this category, you must notify us at email@example.com within 15 days of the date that it was delivered to you (delivery date is based upon the date provided by our postal vendor's tracking system). All returns must arrive back to us within 15 days after the date you contact us regarding the return.
6. We will exchange sizes on non-custom-made clothing provided items are not worn or damaged. However, there are no store credits available for these returns and the items are subject to availability and additional shipping charges.
7. Please contact us for an RMA number and special return address before returning any item.
9. At our option, we will charge a 15% restocking fee on non-defective returned items.
10. We will email you when your returned item is received back to us, and issue you a coupon code for store credit. Store credits must be used within 30 days. Coupon codes will expire on the 31st day after we receive your return item. Subsequent orders placed without applying the return credit coupon code will not retroactively receive store credit under any circumstance.
